TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings with Drop in Chalets
1.1 PAYMENTS
• Deposits
For fully catered holiday guests we require 50% deposit of the total booking.
All cheques must be made payable to "Mr G M Nield". Deposits must be received by Drop in Chalets Ltd within five days of making the provisional booking. If the deposit is not
received during this time, we may offer the holiday dates to other
interested parties. Upon receiving your deposit and signed booking
form, the booking is deemed as confirmed, and cannot be offered to
other parties. We will then send booking confirmation, a receipt for
the deposit paid, and an invoice for the balance of the holiday. We
will also send further details about the holiday. The person who
signs the booking form shall be liable for all those persons named on
the booking form.
• Balance
We will contact you ten weeks prior to the departure date to prompt
you for payment, if we have not already received it. The balance of
the holiday must be paid a minimum of nine weeks prior to the
departure date of the holiday. If the booking is made within nine
weeks of the departure date, then payment must be made in full
immediately. If full payments are not made in accordance to these
payment guidelines then bookings will be treated as cancellations and
deposits will not be refunded.
1.2 SPORT
Drop in Chalets Ltd accept your booking on the understanding that you
recognize the hazards involved in a winter sports holiday. We cannot
be made responsible for injury sustained at any time during the
holiday, however it is caused. Every guest must consider the risks,
make their own judgments and act accordingly at all times. Drop in Chalets Ltd cannot be made responsible for any inconvenience caused by
factors out of their control, such as adverse weather conditions or
poor snow conditions.
1.3 INSURANCE
Before coming on holiday with Drop in Chalets, all persons must be
covered with suitable winter sports travel insurance, including
medical cover. It is the responsibility of every guest to ensure
that their own insurance policy covers all elements of their holiday.
Drop in Chalets Ltd will not take responsibility for guests whose
insurance policies do not provide sufficient cover for their
requirements. Guests will be required to show their insurance policy documents on arrival in resort. Guests without proof of sufficient
cover will be obliged to find a suitable insurance policy immediately.
Drop in Chalets Ltd will not be held responsible for any incident that
occurs whilst a guest has insufficient insurance cover.
1.4 TOUR OPERATOR INSURANCE
We carry Tour Operator's combined liability insurance, covering public
liability and professional indemnity insurance.
1.5 AIRPORT TRANSFERS
One return trip between Geneva airport and Chamonix will be carried
out per booking. If more than one transfer is required, it is the
responsibility of the guests and not Drop in Chalets. to both
organize and cover the cost of the additional transfer(s).
1.6 Chalet Accommodation
Drop in Chalets Ltd reserves the right to change the chalet
accommodation each season, without informing guests beforehand. Drop in Chalets Ltd will always ensure that the same high level quality of
chalet accommodation is maintained.
1.6 CANCELLATIONS AND CHARGES
• If in the unlikely event that Drop in Chalets Ltd has to make a
cancellation or change to your holiday, then Drop in Chalets Ltd will
notify you as soon as possible and offer you one of the following, as
applicable:
• To accept the new holiday arrangements.
• To accept an alternative holiday accommodation type of date, at no
extra cost.
• To cancel your holiday and receive a full refund in respect of your
holiday cost with Drop in Chalets. Drop in Chalets Ltd will not be
liable to refund you any other expenses that you may have incurred as
a result of the booking.
• If you are obliged to cancel your holiday booking you must inform
Drop in Chalets Ltd in writing immediately. You will incur costs on
the following scale:
• Over 10 weeks prior to departure: Loss of deposit.
• 10 weeks or less prior to departure: Loss of 100% of total holiday cost.
